2 PhD Studentships in Biological Sciences: Proteomics and Imaging of Hair and Skin – Durham University

The deadline for applications is Friday 4th July 2014

The first project is to study the proteomics and behaviour of skin cells in response to stress (with Dr. Adam Benham). The second project is to apply advanced imaging techniques and proteomics to study changes in hair structure in response to hair treatments (with Dr. Arto Määttä and Dr. Tim Hawkins). Both projects involve industrial collaboration with Procter & Gamble.

We are looking for two outstanding students who have an upper second or first class undergraduate degree in a scientific discipline, preferably a biological science, with an interest in applying cutting edge techniques to biological problems of industrial relevance.
