SALES EXECUTIVE – Life Sciences (p/t)
Territory: Scotland & Ireland
Salary: £36,000 pro rate plus car and bonus
Permanent part-time position (3-4 days per week)
Our client is a world leading supplier of high quality cytokines which includes E. coli, insect, and mammalian cell-derived recombinant proteins, their monoclonal/polyclonal antibodies, ELISA development kits, and other cytokine-related reagents.
They work with clients across the globe and have 10 offices dotted throughout the world.
They are looking to expand the UK team and recruit a Sales Executive to cover Scotland (& Ireland) on a part-time basis. This will be 3 or 4 days per week (and are flexible on the working hours/days to suit the successful candidate). You will also be required to visit their UK Head Office in London on occasions.
This is a customer facing position and you will be field based, meeting clients for approximately 80% of the working week. The focus for the position will be to develop business in Scotland along with 2-3 visits to Ireland per year (or depending on business needs). You will be based from a home office but will meet and network with current clients and look to forge new business relationships with a broad range of Research Individuals across the academic and industrial research sector.
- Achieve targets set for the territory and individual accounts
- Maintain and develop exiting commercial relationships
- Identify and nurture new business relationships to develop sales.
- Attend at 5 field meetings per day.
- Build a knowledge of key contacts and organisations within the territory
- Provide a high quality, pro-active service to customers
- Use all tools and resources available to close sales deals and agreements
- Accurate and effective reporting to Senior Management
The successful candidate will be degree educated within a relevant Life Sciences discipline. They will have at least 3 years proven sales experience selling into the Life Sciences community in Scotland. A knowledge of antibodies, proteins, cytones and their application within research is essential along with strong computer skills.
The successful candidate must be fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills. They will be an excellent networker and able to build strong business relationships and use these to win, develop and retain business.
